It's Thirsty Thursday--kid version, from the kitchen of Valerie Caddell.
If your kids are like ours, they are wanting to eat and snack approximately 27 times a day. One of our favorite treats that works as a meal (or for one of the many between meal eating periods) is a smoothie. This versatile drink is easy to make and uses many items you likely already have in the fridge. One of our typical smoothies begins with a base of plain yogurt, a mixture of fresh and frozen fruits, a splash of milk and a drizzle of honey. Use a blender, food processor, or hand-held immersion mixer to combine all of the ingredients. Voila!
Combos to add to your plain yogurt:
Blueberries and cherries
Strawberries and peaches
Bananas, peanut butter, chocolate almond milk
Frozen coconut water cubes, lime juice and mint
